Principal's Message

                                                                                                  November – December 2019

Dear Palomares Families,

Thank You

During this season, it is a perfect opportunity to reflect and think about what we are grateful for in our lives. At Palomares, there is much to be thankful for with our amazing Palomares Hawks, families and staff.  I value and appreciate the positive and collaborative home school partnership we continue to build.  I am grateful to our staff for providing a supportive, engaging and safe learning environment where our students thrive! And I am thankful to be surrounded by our students who bring a smile to my face every day!

Thank you to Trustee Lavender Lee Whitaker and Superintendent Ahmadi for attending our October PPTC meeting.  Thank you to Superintendent Ahmadi and Assistant Superintendent Jason Reimann for visiting classrooms in October. Board Vice President, Gary Howard will be visiting on November 7th.

Welcome and thank you to our new SSC members – Shirley Chung, Daniel Pak and Shawan Worsley.  Thank you to Cassandra Sawyer for continuing to serve on SSC.  Staff representatives include Mrs. Chidester, Mrs. Collard, and Ms. Milinkevich.

Showing Care and Compassion!

Caring/Compassion is our character trait for the months of November and

December. It is a perfect time to remember those less fortunate and for us to teach our children about the importance of caring for others. Our school is beginning our

Annual Holiday Food Drive for Castro Valley Outreach. CV Outreach helps local families in need. A list of items that are needed are included in this newsletter. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate care for others in our community. In December, we will have our annual Giving Tree. More information is included in this newsletter.
